Through the United Nations Peacebuilding project, Caritas Sierra Leone Makeni has provided catering skills training to women drawn from various communities across Port Loko District. January this year, 2025, these women had the opportunity to showcase their newly acquired skills through practical demonstrations at the Maria Ines Technical Institute in Lunsar. The event highlighted their growth and potential as they presented a range of creations, underscoring the project’s success in fostering self-reliance and economic growth.
By bringing women together from diverse backgrounds, the initiative strengthens community bonds and contributes to peace and development in the region.
