Lan 4 u future” is the fifth phase of the McGovern-Dole program in Sierra Leone running from 2022 to 2025). This project follows on from the “All Pikin for Lan” project. The program aims to; improve the literacy of school-age children by building teachers' and school administrators’ skills and knowledge, improving teachers’ attendance and their access to school supplies, and improving literacy instruction materials. Some key activities undertaken in the period under review are:
Review the functionality and train 310 School Health Clubs
Conduct quarterly health and nutrition quizzes among 70 school community
Distribution and installation of tippy taps.
Review and develop jingle messages on Health, WASH, and Nutrition
Review and organize Radio Discussions on Health, WASH, and Nutrition
Review and perform skits/role play on Health, WASH, and Nutrition at community hall
Collaborate with the CRS Global Fund program to integrate malaria messages as part of the SBCC strategies
