Caritas Week 2025 Concludes with a Renewed Call to Serve the Poor.

Caritas Week 2025 officially concluded on Palm Sunday, 13th April, with a heartfelt celebration led by His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Bob John H. Koroma, Bishop of Makeni Diocese. In a deeply moving homily, the Bishop endorsed a special collection in support of the poor, vulnerable communities, and emergency response efforts—a call that echoes the very heart of Caritas’ mission.

This moment marked the culmination of a week filled with acts of compassion, community engagement, and spiritual reflection. Caritas Makeni reaffirmed its commitment to being a living sign of God’s love, especially to those most in need.

As we reflect on the week’s theme, “Acts of Mercy: Small Charitable Steps, Big Impact,” we are reminded that real change begins with each of us. We invite individuals, partners, and friends of goodwill to join us in this mission—your support can bring hope where it is needed most.

Together, let us continue to build communities of compassion, dignity, and resilience.
